Jay B. Gadberry, CIMA®

Jay has a BSBA in Financial Management and a BSBA in Accounting from the University of Arkansas. He is a CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) with 30 years of industry experience and a member of IMCA (Investment Management Consultants Association).  Jay completed the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School) Senior Consultants Program in 2005 and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Senior Consultant’s Program in 2006.  He was a Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Manager, and one of two Senior Investment Consultants in the state with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for 9 years. Prior to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Jay was Managing Director at Morgan Keegan for 14 years and the only Investment Management Consultant in Arkansas appointed by Morgan Keegan’s Investment Consulting Group. Prior to that, Jay was an Assistant Portfolio Manager with Stephens Capital Management and a CPA with Ernst and Whinney.  Jay was recently chosen to serve on the Executive Advisor Council for National Securities Corporation. The committee is a select group of premier representatives who are committed to helping guide the firm’s management team in the important decisions impacting the company.  He is a Registered Representative (Series 7 and 63), a General Securities Principal (Series 24), an Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65), and also has his Life/Disability Insurance license. He stays actively involved in the private equity market.

Jay is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Centers for Youth and Families as membership chair and Champions of Hope 2019 chair.  He also serves on the Marketing Committee for the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame (previously served on the Executive Committee), the Development Committee for ACANSA, Little Rock’s newest performing and visual arts festival, and is a founding board member and treasurer of the Little Rock School District Athletic Foundation/6th and Goal Program.  Jay is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

Jay has been involved with many other community boards and University organizations;  the University of Arkansas Central Arkansas Regional Committee for Campaign ARKANSAS, the Little Rock Downtown Rotary Board (a Paul Harris Fellow), the Little Rock Central High School Tiger Foundation Board, the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee, the Arkansas Baptist College Athletic Board, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Foundation where he served as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee and the Finance Committee. Jay was founding Chairman of the UAMS Consortium Advisor Board and founding member of the UAMS Bioventure Advisory Board. He is both a founding member and a lifetime member of Arkansas Children’s Hospital Committee for the Future (est. in 1985). Being an active member of St. James United Methodist Church, Jay recently Co-Chaired their Capital Campaign which raised over $5,000,000.
